NAVIGATOR STUDIO

(Ages: 9 – 12)

Navigator Studio blends project-based learning, creative expression and entrepreneurial thinking for children ready to explore independently.

In Navigator Studio, learning starts with connection.

  • Children learn to navigate challenges with curiosity and creativity and begin to use their strengths as a compass.
  • Growing confidence and independence means learners start to make connections between ideas, people and their own interests.
  • Through individual and collaborative group projects, outdoor adventures and early entrepreneurial experiences, Navigators begin to understand that learning has real-world relevance and that their ideas matter and can have an impact.
  • Students begin to co-lead their learning journeys.
  • Project-based learning integrates cultural subjects, literacy and numeracy and teaches communication, problem-solving, time management, collaboration, reflection and iteration.
  • In Navigator, students are encouraged to investigate any challenges they may be facing in class, motivated to brainstorm potential solutions and then supported in applying them – noticing what worked and what didn’t and perhaps adapting or rethinking the idea.

Learning in Action

  • Collaborative projects that combine cultural subjects with literacy and numeracy.
  • Opportunities to design, prototype and present solutions to real challenges.
